Writer and Illustrator
Equally devoted to art and literature, Lucy Bell has found her calling in writing and illustrating fiction for grownups.
Trained as a classicist at Harvard (BA) and Cornell (ABD), Lucy Bell grabbed art instruction wherever she could find it and especially at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She grew up in Philadelphia, where she now lives with her family and their animals. For many years Lucy Bell taught Latin, Greek, and Philosophy at Germantown Friends School. Past published work includes the illustrations for Alpha is for Anthropos by Therese Sellers (Ascanius, 2013), posters, movie graphics, and cartoons. She has just finished writing and illustrating Meet John Dough, Superhero: A Political Fantasy (Nyoka Press, 2017).
